Eligibility for Nursing Admission in AKCNC 

Getting into nursing and midwifery admission in Bangladesh starts with meeting the right education requirements. Students need a minimum GPA of 7.00 in SSC and HSC (Science) for BSc Nursing. For Diploma programs, a total GPA of 6.00 is required from any group.

A) BSc in Nursing (4 Years)

This 4-year professional program prepares students for hospital, clinic, and community nursing roles. The course includes anatomy, physiology, pathology, and clinical placements.

Academic Requirements:

- SSC or equivalent: Minimum GPA 3.00

- HSC or equivalent: Minimum GPA 3.00 (Science group only)

- Passing year: Must be within the last 3 years

- Combined GPA (SSC + HSC): Minimum 7.00

- Biology GPA: At least 3.00 in both SSC and HSC

Admission Note: Only candidates from the science group can apply. A solid background in biology is essential.

B) Diploma in Midwifery (3 Years)

This 3-year course trains students in maternal care, newborn health, and women’s reproductive services. Graduates often work in maternity clinics and hospitals.

Academic Requirements:

- SSC or equivalent: Minimum GPA 2.50

- HSC or equivalent: Minimum GPA 2.50 (from any group)

- Passing year: Both SSC and HSC must be within the last 3 years

- Combined GPA (SSC + HSC): Minimum 6.00

- GPA should not be below 2.50 in either exam

Admission Note: Applicants from any department may apply. A strong commitment to women’s health is encouraged.

C) Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery (3 Years)

This program combines core nursing knowledge with midwifery training. It prepares students for roles in general hospitals and maternal care units.

Academic Requirements:

- SSC or equivalent: Minimum GPA 2.50

- HSC or equivalent: Minimum GPA 2.50 (from any group)

- Passing year: Both SSC and HSC must be within the last 3 years

- Combined GPA (SSC + HSC): Minimum 6.00

- GPA should not be below 2.50 in either exam

Admission Note: Open to students from all educational streams. This course is a good step for anyone pursuing a healthcare career.

N.B: Minimum pass marks for getting admitted in each course is 40.
